Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night-shift Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.

• Work setting is an acute care hospital Emergency Department (ER)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope is not required
• Charting is done via Epic (experience required)
• No parking costs at this facility

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license will not be accepted
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
