Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, working Monday–Friday with 1 weekend per month and a minimum of 1 year of experience required.
Details
- Acute care hospital inpatient setting
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30), Monday–Friday
- 1 weekend shift required per month
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within the facility's acute care scope of practice and to a nearby sister hospital as needed
- 10-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Active state PT license required if applicable
- Current certifications as applicable to the role required
- Acute care experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
- No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted; the posted shift and schedule are firm
- Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Full compliance is required prior to the start date; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
