Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position at a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and PACU experience.

Details

Acute care hospital setting — Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
PACU unit with Phase II recovery responsibilities
Pediatric PACU experience preferred
13-week contract
Schedule: 3x12-hour evening shifts with variable start/stop times (0700–1900, 0800–2000, 0900–2100, 1000–2200, or 1100–2300)
On-call required: 1 call shift per month
Weekend requirement: 1 weekend shift per month
No floating within the facility
Charting via Epic (experience required)
Scrubs provided by facility
Free parking on-site

Requirements

Active Alaska (AK) RN license required; pending license acceptable for initial screening but AK license must be in hand prior to offer
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Candidate must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
Candidates who previously worked at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per diem) must disclose the location(s) and dates worked
All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state of Alaska; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
Local candidates are not accepted — permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
