Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a hospital in Butte, MT.

Details

  • Inpatient hospital respiratory therapy department
  • 12-hour night shifts
  • 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current, active state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (license required if applicable)
  • BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to assignment start
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures, including obtaining arterial blood gases, per protocol
  • Initiates and manages respiratory protocols, equipment operation, and patient interventions based on clinical assessments
  • Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating updates to physicians, nurses, and other departments
  • Provides patient and family education on self-care techniques and health promotion
  • Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
  • Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and other care team members
  • May be assigned to special clinical projects or initiatives as designated by department leadership
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
