Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a hospital in Butte, MT.
Details
- Inpatient hospital respiratory therapy department
- 12-hour night shifts
- 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current, active state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy
- Epic EMR experience required
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures, including obtaining arterial blood gases, per protocol
- Initiates and manages respiratory protocols, equipment operation, and patient interventions based on clinical assessments
- Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating updates to physicians, nurses, and other departments
- Provides patient and family education on self-care techniques and health promotion
- Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
- Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and other care team members
- May be assigned to special clinical projects or initiatives as designated by department leadership
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
