Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Comprehensive Medical Unit (Med/Surg) position on night shift in Zanesville, OH, requiring a minimum of 3 years of telemetry and/or stepdown experience and current Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital's 4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit (CMU)
• Adult med/surg patient population with telemetry monitoring
• Occasional floating to other med/surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder units
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call or call requirements
• Epic EMR — current proficiency is required
• 13-week contract, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license (currently in hand)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent telemetry and/or stepdown RN experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips — competency will be tested on day one
• Demonstrated Epic EMR proficiency required — no refresher classes or 1:1 training will be provided

Additional Information

• Telemetry competency will be assessed on the first day; failure to pass will result in termination
• Candidates who are found to lack Epic proficiency after placement will be terminated
• Returning Genesis travelers placed within the past 9 months may have flexible start date options; all others must be available for the standard start date
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission to be honored
