Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position at a Level III Trauma, 154-bed hospital in Paris, TX, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience including labor management and cesarean section circulation.

Details

• 9-bed Labor & Delivery unit at a 154-bed Level III Trauma hospital with a Level 1 NICU
• Serves patients of all ages with diagnoses including labor, pre-term labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, and pregnancy complications
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Equipment includes external fetal monitoring (EFM), IV pumps, and NIBP
• EMR systems used are GE Centricity and Meditech
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• On-call required on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, AWHONN, and HWC
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience
• Proficiency in labor management, OB triage, and circulating for cesarean sections
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include independent labor management, OB triage, and circulating for cesarean sections
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Hospital-provided scrubs; unnatural hair color and casual wear are not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Paris, TX is located approximately 110 miles northeast of Dallas near the Texas-Oklahoma border
