Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a night shift travel contract in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of recent rehab or acute care experience and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting located in Denver, CO
- 6th floor nursing unit with 42 beds and a staff of approximately 80 nursing FTEs
- Patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1, with 1 charge RN and 2–3 CNAs per shift
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Common procedures include IV management, foley catheterization, PVRs, bladder/bowel programs, EKGs, and blood glucose monitoring
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital monitors and standard nursing tools
- EMR system: Meditech
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent rehab and/or med/surg acute care RN experience
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- CRRN certification preferred
- Prior experience in a freestanding rehabilitation center preferred
Additional Information
- Rehab-specific training and FIM (Functional Independence Measure) certification will be required upon hire
- This facility ranks in the top 20th percentile nationally for quality outcomes and is recognized as the first rehabilitation hospital ever established
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- First-time travelers are not explicitly noted as eligible; 2 years of clinical experience in area of placement is a regional HCA requirement
