Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool (nights) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, prior travel experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic medical center
• Float coverage across multiple ICU environments including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and all certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across multiple ICU types highly desired
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must be comfortable and competent caring for complex ICU patients across a variety of critical care environments
• A competency test is required; candidates have 2 attempts to pass
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
