Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and Epic experience.
Details
- Located in an acute care hospital that is a Magnet-designated facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- 407 total staffed beds
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00–17:00)
- On-call required 1 day per week plus every 4th/5th weekend (Friday at 18:00 through Monday at 07:30)
- Approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of the regular 4-shift weekly schedule
- May float to EP or IR within scope as needed
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Active Alaska (AK) RN license required; pending AK license accepted for consideration but must be in hand prior to offer
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Floating between all facilities within the state may be required; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Only 1 RTO request is permitted per 13-week assignment; requests are approved on an individual basis upon offer
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
