Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with experience in Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA, vein sampling, and Phase 2 recovery for a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 50/50 inpatient and outpatient patient population
• Patient diagnoses include biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, endovascular lab procedures, and stent placement
• Required procedures include Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA, vein sampling, and Phase 2 recovery
• Medication system: Pyxis
• EMR: Epic
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Overnight call required once per week; call every 5th or 6th weekend
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of IR Tech experience preferred; 2 years preferred per facility standards
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA, vein sampling, and Phase 2 recovery required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible for a travel position
• Former permanent staff must also reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
