Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet, academic teaching hospital in Washington State.
Details
- Work in a Short Term Acute Care, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds
- Unit coverage spans Level IV NICU, adult floor, and adult ICU settings
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Weekends required as needed by the unit
- Floating within the hospital is required; no floating to sister hospitals
- Block scheduling is not available
- Uses Epic EMR (experience preferred but not required)
- 13-week contract minimum
Requirements
- Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) national certification required
- Current WA State Respiratory Care license required; pending license not accepted — license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Level IV NICU experience required
- At least 2 completed travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across Level IV NICU, adult floor, and adult ICU as needed
- Epic charting experience is preferred but not required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 1 week; RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum
- Former UW facility staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- Scrubs may be any color; scrubs are provided for OR personnel
- Parking is available on-site at a daily cost
