Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of neurovascular IR experience for a 13-week contract in a specialized neurovascular lab setting.

Details

  • Neurovascular IR lab setting with 2 biplane suites (Siemens ICONO)
  • Patient population includes intracranial aneurysms, intracranial AVMs, carotid stenosis, intracranial large vessel occlusions, and kyphoplasty cases
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Procedures include intracranial thrombectomies, flow diversions, aneurysm coiling, AVM embolization, MMA embolization, and carotid stenting
  • Equipment includes Siemens ICONO biplane suites, Fuji Synapse PACS, and Brainlab
  • EMR: Epic Dimensions (documentation) and Pyxis (medication)
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Call requirement includes one night per week and every 4th weekend; weekend coverage spans Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
  • No float requirement

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of neurovascular IR experience required; 3–4 years preferred
  • ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required; license required if applicable
  • ARRT(VI) preferred
  • Proficiency in neurovascular IR procedures including intracranial thrombectomies, flow diversions, aneurysm coiling, AVM embolization, MMA embolization, and carotid stenting
  • Two professional manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years required prior to start (pending at time of consideration is acceptable)
  • First-time travelers accepted if otherwise experienced

Additional Information

  • 2-week orientation (80 hours) provided upon start; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation
  • Pre-completion of 8–10 hours of online modules (acute care) required before start and annually thereafter
  • Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved provided it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval
  • Previous permanent, PRN, or employee pool staff of this health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a different rate
  • Travel pairs are welcome but must have their own transportation and be comfortable with differing schedules
  • Scrubs are provided

My phone showed her number as spam and I think blocked some of the texts I wish it hadn't have done that but that was nothing on her end all on mine so make sure that you have your settings to allow the calls and texts from spam
