Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring seasoned travel experience and cardiac, neuro, and general surgery backgrounds.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- ICU assignment with floating required across ICU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units, as well as all facilities within the state
- Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every-other-weekend commitment with 6 weekend shifts expected per 6-week schedule
- 48-hour workweeks are approved
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- Block scheduling is not required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- Seasoned travel nursing experience required (3+ years preferred)
- Cardiac, neurological, and general surgery ICU experience required
- Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates who previously worked at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per diem) must disclose the location and dates of employment
- Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility if they were previously employed there as permanent staff
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position; limited time-off requests may be considered
- Licensed nursing staff (RN, LVN) are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs; print tops are not permitted
- Free surface parking is available in designated Employee/Visitor Parking lots on campus
