Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience, working night shifts on a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications must be provided for consideration
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1)
- No alternate shifts or special schedule requests are permitted — the posted night shift is firm
- Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
