Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a short-term acute care community hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and advanced MR certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care community hospital setting with 223 staffed beds
• Inpatient, outpatient, ER, adult ICU, and pediatric patient populations
• Daily caseload of 15–20 patients per technologist
• 1 MRI 1.5T Siemens Espree unit
• Cases include TIA, osteomyelitis, MS, back pain, fall/trauma, MVA, dilated CBD, cellulitis, general cases, anesthesia cases, and imaging of patients with pacemakers and defibrillators
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• 3x12-hour day shifts
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call required; specifics to be discussed with manager, including holiday coverage

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, community hospital, children's hospital, and adult ICU settings required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT advanced MR certification required
• Current BLS required
• Proficiency with IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACS, contrast administration, biopsy, and pacemaker/defibrillator imaging skills required
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
• State license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general MRI exams and studies including cardiac imaging and imaging of patients with pacemakers and implanted defibrillators
• Diagnoses commonly encountered include TIA, osteomyelitis, MS, back pain, trauma, MVA, dilated CBD, and cellulitis
• Anesthesia cases are part of the caseload
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Parking is included at no cost
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Pending state licenses are not accepted
• Block scheduling is not available
• No floating to sister facilities required
