Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience across multiple pediatric units.
Details
- Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending will be accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; certification has an associated cost of $185)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required
- Peds PACU experience highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must be comfortable floating across a broad range of pediatric clinical settings in accordance with their clinical experience
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience may be considered
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
- Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per contract; no RTO can be approved during the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
