Description
American Traveler is hiring a Chemo-Certified RN for an outpatient oncology clinic position requiring prior outpatient clinic and phone triage experience at a large Level I Trauma Center academic medical center.
Details
- Outpatient multispecialty clinic setting within a large academic medical center (1,567 beds)
- Chemo unit serving breast oncology, breast surgery, and plastic surgery patients
- Duties include telephone triage, in-basket management, assisting providers during clinic visits, and new and return patient visits
- Pre-op/post-op teaching and chemotherapy patient education responsibilities
- Day shift: 4x9-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Charting via Epic
- Parking available at $125/month
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Minimum outpatient clinic experience required
- Phone triage experience required
- Prior experience at a large trauma center facility required
- Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center environment
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility during the assignment
- Travelers may be required to participate in emergency or natural disaster response activities
