Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular/Cardiac Surgery ICU position requiring a MA RN license and at least 2.5 years of ICU experience with mechanical circulatory support.
Details
- Cardiac surgery ICU setting serving vascular surgery, cardiac medicine, advanced heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support patients
- Specialized procedures and equipment include IABP, Impella, ECMO, and durable VAD
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Floating to other adult ICUs required as needed
- Scheduling is based on unit needs — block schedules cannot be accommodated
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2.5 years of ICU experience required
- Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support (IABP, Impella, ECMO, durable VAD) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
Additional Information
- Must pass a pass/fail EKG test at orientation (one attempt allowed)
- Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
