Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of CVOR experience and an active Compact or LA RN license

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital environment
• Handles 10-25 cases per day across 7 rooms
• Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Weekend rotation of 2 weekends per 6-week schedule
• On-call responsibilities required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• No call-in shifts required
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or LA) required in hand upon submission
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including CVOR experience
• Must live 65+ miles from the facility to qualify
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)
• Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub RN duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, thoracic, and plastics procedures
• Utilize specialized equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, and Steris equipment
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring on-site presence during emergency events, with pay details communicated per event
• Green scrubs provided by the facility
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• First-time travelers will be considered as long as they have sufficient OR experience
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid offer rescission
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the health system before returning as a travel RN
