Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed cardiovascular stepdown unit
• Patient population includes post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA, NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy patients
• Manages stable drip/GTT patients and POD#1 post-cardiac and vascular surgery patients
• Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, and external pacers required
• Floating required within the critical care service line
• Day shift: 06:45–19:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiovascular and vascular nursing experience required
• Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, and stable GTT management required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides stepdown-level nursing care to cardiovascular and vascular surgical patients, as well as medical patients requiring cardiac and respiratory monitoring
• Local candidates will be considered, though a radius rule applies that may affect the travel pay rate — the applicable radius varies by state
• COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
