Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department role requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Emergency Department providing 24/7 emergency care for patients of all ages
- Includes specialty rooms and an Extended Care Unit for observation
- 24-hour EMS/ALS support in a modern setting
- Day shift schedule, 7a-7p
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
- Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
- ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across all age groups
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching
- Collaborate with inter-professional care team members to prioritize patient needs and plan care
- Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
- Promote a healing, patient and family-centered environment
