Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Lexington, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, TNCC, and annual dysrhythmia competency validation.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department providing 24-hour emergency care to patients requiring urgent attention for severe injuries or illness
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7p–7a
• 36 hours per week
• EMR system is Workday

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, TNCC, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Prior nursing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, implementing treatments, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Collaborates with an inter-professional care team and delegates tasks appropriately to support staff
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Holistic, evidence-based, and patient/family-centered approach to nursing care is expected
