Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Webster, TX, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and active IEFM, NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Located on the 3rd floor of a hospital's Central Tower in Webster, TX
• 15 labor beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, and 3 Preop/PACU beds
• Patient ratios are 2:1 standard, 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, and 3-4:1 for APU and Triage
• Common procedures include C-sections, cerclage placement and removal, IUPC, and FSE
• Equipment includes EFM with Toco, ultrasound, pulse ox, BP cables, and NOVI
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NRP Advanced 9th Edition (American Academy of Pediatrics card required)
• Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification, or NCCEFM
• IEFM experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent L&D RN experience
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• BSN, RNC-OB, and C-EFM certifications are preferred
• Unit staff includes secretaries, ANMs, relief charge nurses, and ORTs, with 30 staff on days and 25 on nights
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
