Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) night shift position in La Porte, IN, requiring critical care experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Details

• Fast-paced Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Telemetry) within a hospital setting
• 30-bed unit with a patient ratio of 4–5:1
• Night shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract with a two-week cancellation policy (no penalty)
• Floating to Med/Surg may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner EMR (preferred, not required)

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within 30 days of start date)
• Minimum 1–2 years of critical care experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide intermediate care nursing to telemetry patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Orientation length is dependent on years of experience
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holidays may be blacked out based on facility need
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration; no RTO is available during blackout periods
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past two years are not eligible for this position
