Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in an active interventional or EP lab and proficiency in cardiovascular procedures including PTCA, coronary stenting, and pacemaker insertion.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
• Procedures include PTCA (coronary angioplasty), coronary stenting, intra-aortic balloon placement, temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion, atherectomy, IVUS, thrombectomy (Pronto device), FFR/pressure wire, and arterial/venous sheath management
• 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend coverage is required
• On-call requirement of approximately 6 to 7 days per month, including one weekend per month
• Floating to different units or facilities may be required at manager's discretion

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an active interventional lab such as IR or EP
• Associate Degree in Applied Sciences required
• ARRT certification required
• IEMA licensure required
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS (AHA) required if applicable
• IL license required if applicable — no emergency or pending licensure accepted
• Full proficiency in cardiovascular procedural functions in the technologist role

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a local rate
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN within the past year
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and cannot be added afterward
• Vaccination status must be disclosed at time of consideration
