Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit within a hospital setting
Cares for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
Day shift: 07:00–19:30
13-week contract

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted)
AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification preferred
Experience with the facility's EMR system required
DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Responsible for safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Directs and guides patient and family teaching and coordinates activities of other nursing personnel
Responds to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment in a fast-paced birth center environment
Utilizes chain of command as needed to ensure appropriate care and patient well-being
