Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical (Ortho/Trauma Surgical) night shift position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in Georgia, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in a comparable setting.

Details

• Located in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex, high-volume trauma cases
• Assignment is on the 5B Surgical unit with a focus on ortho/trauma surgical patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Four weekend shifts per month are expected
• No block scheduling — scheduling is flexible/deferred
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg with a strong ortho/trauma surgical background
• Experience in high-pressure, large-scale, high-volume trauma environments required
• Background managing critical and fast-paced situations with diverse and severe case types
• Experience must be from a large or high-volume hospital setting — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
