Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a rehabilitation hospital in Reno, NV, requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and an active or provisional Nevada OT license.
Details
- Occupational Therapy department within a rehabilitation hospital setting
- Primary schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with some rotating days based on department needs
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Serves a diverse patient population including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Services include evaluation and treatment of self-care activities, ADL skills, and community reintegration
- Floating to other areas of the organization may be required, up to the traveler's competency level
- Epic EMR used; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
- Call requirements to be discussed during the interview
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Nevada OT license required; provisional license acceptable until permanent license is issued — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience required
- Current AHA BLS and CPR certification required upon hire
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services including evaluation, plan of care development, and treatment through discharge
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on ongoing patient care and discharge planning
- May be asked to participate in program development and outcome measurements
- Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the contract
- A 13-week break is required before returning travelers may begin a new contract at this facility
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; the facility does not extend contracts to make up for approved time off
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Kronos used for time keeping
