Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position requiring ICU experience, with floating responsibilities across multiple units on night shifts.

Details

• 21-bed Step-Down Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes NStemi, S/P cardiac cath with intervention, vascular cases (fem-pop, CEA), CIWA patients receiving IVP Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy), wound care, and nebs
• Non-titrating drips administered including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
• Hemodialysis performed in the Dialysis Department
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Floating required across Step-Down, ICU, and Med-Surg units
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license valid in SC, required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ICU experience required due to floating responsibilities
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
