Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at an adult Level III Trauma hospital serving the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery.

Details

• Work in an adult Level III Trauma hospital with 120 staffed beds
• Serves patients in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery
• Charting is done in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Every 3rd weekend is required
• No on-call requirement
• No floating required
• Block scheduling is at manager's discretion
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• State license required if applicable
• Prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Must be able to shave facial hair to achieve a proper N95 mask seal for fit testing — no exceptions

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery
• PICU/NICU experience is not required, but NRP and PALS are required to demonstrate ability to manage emergency situations
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal CAPRs/PAPRs are not permitted on-site — failure to pass fit testing due to facial hair will result in cancellation
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue

• RTO should be requested upfront whenever possible
• Travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotations
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• Pending license acceptance is at manager's discretion
