Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery position at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, with cardiac patient care experience including STEMI, NSTEMI, and ACS management.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab/CVR Recovery unit of a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
• Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, PE, Angina, ACS, and A-fib
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Required skills include pre and post-op care, groin management, A-lines, radial bands, TEE, and cardioversions
• EMR: Cerner (Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Spacelabs monitors)
• 12-hour mid shifts starting at 11:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• On-call required every 4th weekend
• No floating required
• Holiday coverage required per policy for one major and one minor seasonal holiday
• Scrubs: Ceil Blue or red/black required

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience accepted
• Cardiac cath lab recovery or related cardiovascular nursing experience required
• One professional reference from charge nurse level or above within the past 12 months required for consideration
• DOB (day and month) and full SSN required for consideration
• Copies of current certifications required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
• Returning travelers who have been away from the facility for 1+ year will complete 24 hours of classroom orientation and 24 hours of on-unit orientation
• Orientation for rehires will be determined based on the last date of service
• An interview with the hiring manager is required as part of the selection process
