Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab position in New Jersey, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based Cath Lab/OR setting in Morristown, NJ
• AM shift, 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM), 3 days per week at 36 hours per week
• On-call required as needed
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• EMR: Epic (experience expected)

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license required (compact license not accepted; NJ state license must be in hand)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across the perioperative continuum, including pre-operative and post-operative evaluation and education
• Demonstrate competency with surgical patient conditions, procedures, anesthesia types, and emergency equipment
• Maintain accurate and thorough nursing documentation in accordance with established guidelines
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) order evaluation for appropriateness based on procedure, patient age, and health status
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
