Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Iowa, requiring an active IA or compact RN license along with ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED/ER) setting in a hospital environment
- Schedule consists of a mix of night shifts and mid-shifts, with approximately 2 night shifts and 1 mid-shift per week
- Holiday and weekend rotation required
- Pay period runs Monday through Sunday
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Iowa (IA) or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Emergency Room nursing experience preferred but not required
- Two recent employment references required for consideration
- Required immunizations: MMR (2 doses or positive titers), Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines), Polio, Hepatitis B series/titer or signed declination, TDaP (within 10 years), flu vaccine (if during flu season Oct 1–Mar 31), and negative 2-step Mantoux (within 1 year) or QuantiFERON Gold (positive results must include chest X-ray)
- Proof of physical exam within 1 year of start date required
- 10-panel drug screen within 1 month of start date required
- Respiratory fit test within 1 year of start date required
- Criminal background check (all states where licensed or lived/worked in the past 7 years) within 30 days of start required
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse) required prior to start
Additional Information
- Responsible for total patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs
- Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Completion of facility-required CareLearning education modules must be finished prior to start date
- All employment and health requirement documentation must be submitted and cleared before first-day instructions are provided
