Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU/pediatric experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.
Details
- NICU unit within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient population
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities
- No on-call required
- Charting via Epic (experience preferred)
- Parking available with a one-time $20 fee for nights and weekends
Requirements
- Current RRT certification (NBRC)
- Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license required — license must be in hand at time of start
- License required if applicable
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant populations
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, and local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Online modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
