Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory OR/Outpatient Surgery position in Midland, MI, requiring Pre/Post Op and PACU experience with an active Michigan RN license.
Details
- Ambulatory surgery/outpatient setting
- Perioperative patient population including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op (PACU) phases of care
- Day shift with variable start times, typically ranging from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- 12-hour shifts
- No weekend requirements
- No mandatory on-call; voluntary call may be available
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required — must reflect Active status on LARA and/or Nursys
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Pre/Post Op experience required
- PACU experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Skills Checklist current within the last year, pertinent to Ambulatory specialty, required for consideration
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing care in accordance with physician-authorized care plans and accepted nursing practice standards
- Administers medications, performs treatments, assists with patient transfers, responds to call lights and alarms, and processes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Evaluates treatment plan effectiveness and collaborates with the care team to update or revise plans as needed
- Follows up on medication changes and order clarifications
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
