Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Pittsfield, MA, requiring telemetry experience and a valid MA RN license in hand.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg unit setting with 20–34 beds depending on the unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Telemetry monitoring required as part of patient care
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit — block scheduling is not available
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• 13-week contract based in Pittsfield, MA

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — facility will not pend licensure
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be in hand at time of consideration — facility will not pend certifications
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Med/Surg skills checklist (current within 1 year) required
• One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Must have personal transportation for this assignment

• Willing-to-float requirement applies across all Med/Surg units
• Personal scrubs of any color accepted
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration — no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
