Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-week ICU travel assignment in Winchester, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed ICU at a Level III Trauma, 198-bed acute and skilled care facility
• General Intensive Care unit serving adult patients (18+), with rare pediatric post-op cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required
• Float and call requirements are census dependent
• Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, DKA, atrial fibrillation, pre/post heart catheterization, and septic shock
• Equipment includes Baxter pump, GE bedside monitor, and Arjo beds
• EMR: Meditech
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and cardiac support required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; street clothes and apparel bearing outside hospital names are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but strong ICU clinical skills are essential
