Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position at a Level III trauma facility in Winchester, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed ICU at a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility designated as a Level III trauma center
• General intensive care unit serving adult patients (18+), with rare pediatric post-op cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD exacerbation, DKA, atrial fibrillation, pre/post heart catheterization, and septic shock
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps, GE bedside monitors, and Arjo beds
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend hours as needed
• Floating and call requirements are census dependent
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license required)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and cardiac support required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; street clothes and apparel bearing outside hospital names are not permitted
