Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry Float Pool position in Michigan, requiring an active MI RN license and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

• Mixed unit float pool covering PCU, Med-Surg/Telemetry, and Med-Surg floors
• Floating required within the service line, including to a Monroe location as needed
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Staffing ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central and peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
