Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
- Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- On-call responsibilities required
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
- Epic EMR experience required for consideration
- Skilled in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, and circulate procedures
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring and administration
- Skilled in 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale use
- Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with vascular studies and procedures including angioplasty and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Knowledgeable in administration of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PCI, and left/right heart catheterization
- Carotid stenting and rotablator atherectomy experience preferred
- TAVR experience preferred
- Pulmonary angiography and embolization experience preferred
- State-issued ID required prior to consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
- Responsible for circulating procedures and monitoring patients during cardiac catheterization and related interventions
- Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local
- RTO requests limited to no more than 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request permitted during the Nov-Jan holiday season
- All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
