Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring block scheduling availability and experience with Ortho, Neuro, General, robotic (Xi/DV5), and Trauma cases.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Operating Room unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Case experience required includes Orthopedic, Neurological, General, Xi/DV5 Robotic, and Trauma procedures
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Weekend shifts required: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Block scheduling is required for this position
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units within this facility; however, travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Demonstrated experience with Orthopedic, Neurological, General, Xi/DV5 Robotic, and Trauma surgical cases
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Former permanent employees of this health system must have a minimum 3-month gap before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Solid navy blue scrubs are required for all licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not permitted
• RTO is expected to be minimal for this position
