Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Worcester, MA, requiring LDRP float pool flexibility and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with a maternity float pool assignment
True LDRP setting — candidates must be willing and experienced to float between L&D and Postpartum (PP)
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15), 36 hours per week
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
36 or 48 HPW options available; 26-week contract extensions also considered
Epic EMR experience required
Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

Active MA RN license required; a pending MA license is acceptable at time of application, but the candidate must apply for the MA conditional (temp) license within 48 hours of receiving an offer
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required (3 years strongly preferred); candidates with 2 years may be considered with travel nursing experience
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring certification or above required
Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Experience floating between L&D and Postpartum required
2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 200 miles are accepted at the same bill rate

Additional Information

Provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery and Postpartum as part of a maternity float pool
Orientation includes two pass/fail exams: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each allows only one attempt; failure of either exam results in immediate contract cancellation
Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and through facility-provided resources prior to orientation
Nurses with any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered for this position
