Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) travel contract requiring Level 1 trauma experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed MICU spanning two units (16 beds on MICU3 and 12 beds on MICU4) in an academic medical center setting
• Patient population consists predominantly of multi-system failure with co-morbid conditions; common diagnoses include sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ failure
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required; no time off approved around Labor Day
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per contract; back-to-back weekends off cannot be approved
• Floating required per facility float policy
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• MICU or critical care experience with multi-system failure patient population required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration

• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
