Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring Epic experience and ACLS certification for a night shift contract.

Details

  • Work in a 28-bed MICU environment split across two units (16 beds on MICU3 and 12 beds on MICU4)
  • Patient population consists predominantly of multi-system failure with co-morbid conditions; common diagnoses include sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ failure
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required; time off around Labor Day cannot be approved
  • Floating required in accordance with facility float policy
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending is acceptable
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract; back-to-back weekends off cannot be approved
  • A minimum of 12 months must pass before a previous employee may return as a traveler
  • Holiday coverage required on assigned holidays
