Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU position at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring Epic experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed MICU split across two units (16 beds on MICU3 and 12 beds on MICU4) within an academic medical center
• Patient population consists predominantly of multi-system failure with co-morbid conditions; common diagnoses include sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ failure
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30), with the option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Floating required per facility float policy
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending license will be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract; back-to-back weekends off cannot be approved
• Time off around Labor Day cannot be approved
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
