Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 3 years of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) unit within a 186-bed Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- On-call required 1–2 times per week, 7:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed by the department
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Scrubs provided for this role
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
Additional Information
- RN orientation held every other Monday at this campus
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this role
