Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Billings, MT, specializing in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic care with a minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required.

Details

• Acute care PCU setting serving adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic needs
• Patient population includes post-op open heart (day one), stents, devices, ablations, chest pain rule-out, and post vascular and thoracic surgeries
• Manages antiarrhythmic drips (amiodarone, cardizem) and heart failure drips (lasix, bumex, milrinone, dobutamine)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview/offer

Requirements

• Active MT or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry RN experience required
• Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care/management, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Skills in cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Experience with cardiac drip titration and heparin protocols
• Experience with pre/post cardiac cath, post cardiac angiogram, and post cardiac surgery patient care
• References required for consideration
