Description
American Traveler is seeking a registered Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Details
- 5x8 day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional 8:30 AM rotation starts; 4x10 schedules cannot be accommodated
- Rotating weekends, approximately 1 in every 4
- Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, ED, and ICU
- Echocardiography procedures include 2D Echo, 3D Echo, TEE, Stress Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Portable Studies, RVIT, RVOT, and imaging with contrast agents
- 3D strain and image-enhancing techniques are required
- Equipment includes GE and/or Philips ultrasound systems and PACS
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Float to other campus locations within the health system may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac sonography / echo tech experience required
- ARDMS RDCS (AE) or CCI RCS certification required
- BLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- GE and/or Philips echocardiography equipment experience required
- Experience with TEE and Stress Echo required
- Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
- A current driver's license is required for consideration to verify address for the radius rule
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform a full range of echocardiography studies including 2D, 3D, TEE, Stress Echo, Bubble Studies, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Portable Studies, and image enhancement with contrast agents
- All candidates are subject to an EKG pass/fail exam during compliance; two attempts are allowed and study materials are not provided by the facility
- Education verification through a third-party provider is required; the facility will not accept education from schools listed on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list
- Non-billable orientation modules averaging 2–4 hours are completed during orientation
- The facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Any requested time off must be disclosed prior to or at the time of submission; RTO requests submitted after submission will not be accepted
