Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting in an MRI department
- Performs high-quality MRI examinations across a broad range of exam types including general MRI, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac
- Primary shift is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM; 4x10 or 3x12 schedule options may be considered
- Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis; total weekly hours remain at 40 regardless of Saturday coverage
- No on-call requirement
- Potential to float between two outpatient locations
- Charting in Epic (preferred experience)
- Siemens equipment experience required; Sectra and Epic experience preferred
- Radiation badge must be provided by candidate's agency prior to start
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
- Current BLS (AHA), and either ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- SC state license is not required for this position — license required if applicable
- Proficiency in general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
- Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs MRI examinations under general supervision in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who live within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is subject to the manager's and unit's needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
- Teal top and black pants scrubs required
