Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a General Surgery / Operating Room position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• General Surgery unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s
• 13-week contract
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call requirement in effect
• Floating to other units may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license in NM or a compact state
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in OR or surgical nursing
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
• Provides nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provides patient and family education, identifying needs and appropriate resources
• SSN required for consideration
